Every friend who joins and verifies is one iPad entry, up to four. Inviting is the only way to win the iPad.
How it works
- Sign in with your UC Davis email. Tide is students-only, so your .edu is how we know you actually go here. You get a one-time code, no password to remember.
- Collect entries. Get verified, add a class, and post for +2 entries each, and open Daily Tide for +1 entry every day, up to 5. They all go into one pool, and the four $25 gift cards are drawn from everyone's entries, so more entries mean better odds. Inviting friends is separate: every friend who joins and verifies is one iPad entry, up to four.
- That's it. Your entries are recorded automatically as you go. Open the giveaway card at the top of your feed any time to see your running entry total.
Common questions
Does doing more actually help?
Yes. The four $25 gift cards are drawn from one shared entry pool, and every step adds entries, verify, class, and post are worth 2 each, and Daily Tide adds 1 per day up to 5 (11 possible in total). The more entries you collect, the better your odds. The iPad is a separate, invite-only draw: each friend who joins and verifies is one ticket, up to four, plus one for joining on a friend's invite and verifying yourself.
What if I already did some of these?
You're already entered. Anything you'd done before the giveaway started counts, you don't need to redo it.
Do I have to pay anything?
No. Tide is free and there's nothing to buy. There's also a no-app way to enter, described in the official rules.
How are winners picked?
At random, once entries close. The four gift cards are drawn from the shared entry pool, so more entries mean more chances; the iPad is drawn from the invite pool. Each draw records the random seed it used, so the result can be checked afterwards rather than just taken on trust.
How will I know if I won?
